Frequently asked questions

You need a certificate of occupancy for your unit(s), no pending code violations, and associated insurance coverage. If you would like to take advantage of the benefits associated with bulk-leasing, we ask that your building has 15 or more vacant units to maximize availability for prospective tenants. If your building does not meet that requirement, we can still support your leasing needs through our standard leasing program.

One unit is all you need, but you have the option to lease multiple units or even a full building.

We follow up within 3 business days to evaluate your property and determine if LeaseUp is a good fit for you.

Rent is paid through the specific housing subsidy attached to the tenant, and LeaseUp incentives are paid monthly by PATH.

While we cannot guarantee market rate payment, our team is dedicated to negotiating rents that are fair for both the owner and the tenant, in addition to providing financial incentives and support for property owners.

Our team of specialists are committed to finding suitable renters as quickly as possible. RPSS strives to get you to 100% occupancy within 45 days.

To qualify for LeaseUp, tenants must remain enrolled in a program that provides supportive services. Prior to move-in, tenants meet with supportive services to discuss their specific needs. Based on this meeting, tenants are connected to resources, such as job training, healthcare, mental health counseling or addiction treatment, and education.

No. As long as we have a model unit to show, our team will start working with you to find interested tenants. We’ll even begin the process of collecting applications.

In the event that eviction is required, we are here to support. We can connect you to our dedicated Mediation Team or another support system as needed. While the LeaseUp team does not have the authority to initiate the process, we are committed to ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.

If you work at a nonprofit or government agency and your primary role involves assisting people experiencing homelessness find and maintain housing, you may be eligible. 1. We determine if your program is eligible within 2 weeks.
  2. Once accepted, you complete our Service Provider training and gain access to our online portal to search for units on your client’s behalf.
  3. We organize virtual or in-person unit showings and connect you with property owners and managers.
  4. We help you and your client submit a rental application. Once approved, your client receives the keys.

Talk with your client about their housing preference and start searching. Only you, not your client, has access to the listings. You’ll work closely with a housing specialist to view, apply, and lease any unit and answer any questions.

We count on service providers to be present at all pre-housing appointments and lease signings, conduct home visits, respond to landlord concerns, ensure on-time rental and move-in assistance payments, and work collaboratively with the LeaseUp team for a smooth move-in process. All pre-lease signing contact with the property owner must be coordinated through LeaseUp.

We respond within two business days.

They are located all throughout LA County.

We expect all service providers to be present, but understand that emergencies arise. In that case, please have someone from your team communicate with a housing specialist to provide coverage.

Our team of housing specialists are available to answer any questions and offer support.
