LeaseUp is a PATH initiative that partners with service providers and people leasing properties in order to quickly fill vacancies and help those at risk of homelessness find and maintain housing. Backed by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), we have become the go-to leasing service for over 1,000 partners, service providers, and tenants countywide since launching in 2018. With our streamlined rental system, expert customer support, and comprehensive protections, we’re bringing financial stability to property owners and housing stability to communities. What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.- We determine if your program is eligible within 2 weeks.
- Once accepted, you complete our Service Provider training and gain access to our online portal to search for units on your client’s behalf.
- We organize virtual or in-person unit showings and connect you with property owners and managers.
- We help you and your client submit a rental application. Once approved, your client receives the keys.
- After move-in, you conduct regular home visits, respond to landlord concerns, ensure on-time rent payments, and coordinate with us during your client’s stay.
Why do we use it?
Where does it come from?
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.-

Our team of mediators is certified by the LA County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs to intervene when necessary.

Vacancy loss:
Up to one month’s rent is available if a tenant is evicted or removed from the unit for good cause.

Access to a 24/7 hotline with responses within one business day.

Renters insurance:
Coverage for the tenant’s first year in the unit. Insurance companies will determine eligibility; PATH is not responsible for denial of coverage.
